The Dragon Ascendants

The Dragon Ascendants were five dragons who fought during the Dawn War. After the defeat of the Primordial Titans, portions of the Titans' power were bestowed upon them, transforming the five into demigods.

The Ascendants remained important long after the war. During the Incursion, they traveled to Thuradun and each gave part of their own draconic essence during the Second Forging that created the first Dragonborn. That act gave them a lasting place in Dragonborn history, alongside the older place held by Io and Ao as the first dragons.

Their worship is strongest among Dragonborn, particularly in the Aldramar Isles, though it is not limited to them. Each Ascendant developed a distinct body of teachings shaped by the deeds and qualities associated with them.

The Five are represented together by five dragon claws arranged around an open center. Each claw represents one Ascendant, while the shared arrangement reflects the history that binds them.

The present whereabouts of the Dragon Ascendants are unknown. Some Dragonborn traditions hold that they still travel Eldareth in Dragonborn guise, concealing their identities as they move through the world.
