The Triad
The Triad consists of Malgathar the Destroyer, Vorandor the Defiler, and Lessarith the Deceiver. All three emerged from divine power left unbound after Lyrael's death.
Each became associated with a different source of widespread ruin: Malgathar with war and conquest, Vorandor with pestilence and blight, and Lessarith with famine and exploitation. Their influence contributed to some of the most destructive conflicts and crises of the Age of Divinity.
After their defeat, the three were banished beyond the Material Plane. Malgathar was cast into Baator, Vorandor into the Gray Wastes, and Lessarith into the Abyss. Their cults and influence remain present in Eldareth despite their absence.
The Triad is represented by three circles set within interlocking triangular forms. The circles represent the three deities, while the surrounding forms represent their shared origin in the aftermath of Lyrael's death.
A downward-pointing triangle represents the rupture caused by her death. The interlocking forms also reflect the way war, famine, and pestilence can worsen one another.
