Vashkova

To the east lies Vashkova, a land of fog-covered forests, old necropolises, and dark towers rising above the landscape. Its history is closely tied to blood magic, necromancy, and the powers that have shaped the region for generations.

From Varnokh, the Dread Czardom is ruled by Czarina Vyrelka Vaszaryn, whose long reign has made her seem almost immortal. Her authority is supported by traditions of blood magic and necromantic pacts that reach back through Vashkova’s ruling families.

Necromancy is part of the state itself. Deathwardens regulate its practice and oversee service beyond death, while the Sanguine Lords, ancient vampire dynasties, hold considerable influence within the Czardom. Blood Magi continue their own traditions, and the Black Inquisition hunts those who threaten the Czarina’s rule or pursue knowledge forbidden by the state.

In Vashkova, death is part of everyday life, and the past has a way of remaining present.
