The Calvessan Imperium

South of Vashkova, between Célaine and Ostheria, lies Calvessa, a realm shaped by the legacy of the Thessaric Empire.

Calvessa considers itself one of the strongest heirs to Thessaric scholarship and arcane tradition. Its rival city-states are governed through the Arcane Concordium, a council of mage-lords responsible for maintaining cooperation between them. Orenthos serves as the capital, while Velthirios remains an important center of trade.

That unity is often strained. City-states compete for influence, and the Concordium must balance local interests against the needs of the wider Imperium.

Within Calvessa lie the remains of Thessaria, which sank during the Upheaval. Its buried ruins are now known as the Silent Vaults, sealed beneath layers of stone and unstable magic. They remain both a source of historical interest and a reminder of the catastrophe that ended the old imperial capital.
