The Aldramar Isles

West of Skorrheim, across the Aldramar Sea, lies the volcanic archipelago of Aldramar. Five principal islands form its core, surrounded by smaller islets and stretches of broken volcanic coastline.

The Dragonborn settled Aldramar after the Incursion, drawn in part by the islands' much older connection to dragons and the Dragon Ascendants. Over the generations that followed, the archipelago became the principal Dragonborn homeland. Dragonborn now live throughout Eldareth, but Aldramar remains an important center of their shared history and culture.

Volcanic activity has shaped much of the landscape. Basalt cliffs rise above cold northern waters, while geothermal areas and higher, colder terrain create considerable variation between the islands.

Dragons also continue to live within the archipelago. Their presence predates Dragonborn settlement and remains part of Aldramar's connection to its older draconic past.
