South of Avermont lies Zalthyx, a continent of dense jungles and the ancestral homeland of the Ssith’katha. Beyond its shores, serpentfolk have often been viewed with suspicion, shaped in part by the reputation of the powers that once ruled here.

Zalthyx was once united beneath a single empire, but that order has long since broken apart. Its surviving cities now compete for influence, while the Preserved remain within sunken sanctums tied to an older age.

The Dawncoil have fled northward in search of refuge, leaving behind a homeland increasingly divided by rival powers. Far to the south, the Xal’Tarothi Empire still endures, maintaining its rule through conquest, tradition, and faith.
