Factions and Organizations of Alven'Nathiss

Several organizations carry influence beyond the communities in which they are based. The groups below are among the most prominent across the Isles of Alven'Nathiss.

The Magisterium

The Magisterium governs Ael'tharis and oversees matters affecting the island as a whole. Its authority also extends to magic used in public systems, giving it an important role in how Ael'tharis develops and maintains its magical infrastructure.

The Thaelis Conclave

The Thaelis Conclave is an independent society devoted to arcane scholarship. Its members work throughout Alven'Nathiss and often maintain ties to other institutions while pursuing research of their own.

The First Quill

The First Quill seeks to reconstruct the earliest history of the elves and preserve what survives of their ancestral past. Much of its scholarship concerns the Exoduses from the Feywild and the records left by the generations surrounding them.

The Wardens of Ael'tharis

The Wardens of Ael'tharis are the island's principal defensive order. Their presence is strongest around settlements and the coast, where martial and magical training are used together in the defense of Ael'tharis.

The Alven'Nathiss Mercantile League

Based largely in Thren'lynir, the Alven'Nathiss Mercantile League connects commercial interests across the archipelago. Its members also maintain important trading relationships with Vel'Nathar.

The Oracles of Shoral'eren

Within the Dreamspire, the Oracles of Shoral'eren preserve accounts of unusual dreams and visions reported across the islands. Their work is centered on interpreting these experiences and identifying those that may carry wider significance.

The Nath'soren

Based at Thal'velar, the Nath'soren serve as recognized witnesses to important agreements. Their preserved testimony gives them particular authority when the meaning or terms of an earlier commitment later come into dispute.

The Ilen'syl

The Ilen'syl governs Ael'delar and receives the wider gatherings held at Thal'velar. Its role there places it at the center of discussions that require mediation between participants from beyond the island itself.
