The Energy Planes

Often referred to as the “empty planes,” the Energy Planes are realms of pure, undiluted force — not composed of matter, but of radiant potential. The Positive Energy Plane brims with blinding vitality, the wellspring of life and creation, while the Negative Energy Plane is a void of entropy and decay, the engine of death and unmaking.

Unlike the Elemental Planes, they contain little recognizable life, and what entities exist within them often defy mortal comprehension. In these planes, even the concept of form is unstable — beings composed of energy rather than substance, and ecosystems that function more like currents than environments. Though largely uninhabited by traditional standards, these planes are anything but lifeless. They are pure extremes, fundamental truths — and to most mortals, utterly lethal.
