The Calvessan Imperium

South of Vashkova's shadowed forests, and bordered by both Célaine to the west and Ostheria to the south, the Calvessan Imperium clings to the fading light of a bygone golden age.

Born from the fractured heart of the ancient Thessaric Empire, Calvessa styles itself the inheritor of that lost realm's knowledge, artistry, and arcane mastery. Its sun-bleached lands are dotted with proud, rival city-states, governed by a council of powerful mage-lords and merchant princes known as the Arcane Concordium. Orenthos, the grand capital, still boasts gleaming golden domes and libraries overflowing with history, while the canals of Velthirios teem with mercantile wealth and whispered diplomatic secrets.

Yet, this inheritance is heavy. Beneath the polished facade of philosophical debates and bustling trade lies a landscape of political intrigue, where city-states vie for dominance and the Arcane Concordium struggles to maintain unity. Deep beneath the earth, shrouded in mystery and peril, lie the Silent Vaults – the magically sealed ruins of Thessaria, a constant reminder of imperial ambition and catastrophic failure.

Calvessa remains a beacon of scholarship and invention, its fleets command respect, but it stands as a fractured reflection, caught between the ghosts of its glorious past and the encroaching pressures of its neighbours.
