The Quasi-Elemental Planes
The Quasi-Elemental Planes arise where the elemental meets the energetic — transitional realms formed at the borders between the Elemental Planes and the Positive or Negative Energy Planes. Each quasi-element embodies a state of extremity, shaped not by balance but by enhancement or erosion.
Where elemental matter merges with the Positive Plane, it bursts with overabundant vitality: the searing brilliance of Radiance, the boundless storm of Lightning, the overwhelming bloom of Mineral, or the frigid beauty of Steam.
Conversely, the union with Negative Energy gives rise to decay and void: the choking emptiness of Vacuum, the bitter cold of Frost, the slow erosion of Dust, and the stillness of Ash.
Quasi-elemental realms are often more abstract and metaphysically unstable than their elemental cousins. Life is rare, and what does exist is frequently alien, extreme, or barely recognizable. They are realms of both fascination and danger — expressions of elemental essence pushed to its breaking point.
