The Fringe Realms

Beyond the ordered structure of the Great Wheel lie realms that do not belong — planes untouched by alignment, unreachable by conventional paths, and only tenuously understood. These are the Unreal Realms: Val'Syra, the realm of dreams and unshaped thought, and the Far Realm, a maddening depth beyond all comprehension.

Planar scholars refer to them as the Disjoined Planes, but among wanderers and planar outcasts, they are simply known as the Fringe Realms. Neither echoes the Material Plane, nor supports the orderly lattice of the Outer Planes. One is a reflection of what might be, the other a corruption of what should never be.
