II. The Sundering of the Feywild

As the war against the primordial titans was raging on the Prime Material plane, its echo in the Feywild brought about profound changes. The once-idyllic landscapes of the Feywild began to shift dramatically, reflecting the turmoil and chaos that gripped the realm. Fear and uncertainty spread like wildfire among the Archfey and the rest of its denizens, as the very fabric of their realm began to warp and shift in response to the conflict, for the Feywild was deeply connected to the emotions of its inhabitants.

In a realm where emotions held tangible power, the fear and uncertainty that permeated the Feywild sparked a war between the opposing Archfey and their servants who clashed in a bitter struggle for territory and power. With each skirmish, the very fabric of the Feywild was twisted and reshaped by the intensity of their emotions, further fueling the conflict and exacerbating the chaos. Many denizens of the Feywild found themselves caught in the crossfire, their homes and livelihoods threatened by the chaos that consumed their world.

Among these denizens were two elven clans, the dark-skinned inhabitants of the Midnight Glade and the pale-skinned dwellers of the Moonlit Grove. As the conflict escalated, they found themselves trapped in the midst of the war, their once-peaceful homes torn apart by the strife of their fey overlords.

In their hour of greatest need, the goddess Lerathae, ever-watchful and compassionate, extended her hand to guide them to safety. With a voice like a gentle whisper on the breeze, she guided the beleaguered elves out of the chaos of the Feywild and into the Material Plane, where they would find sanctuary.

Emerging from the veil between worlds, the two elven clans found themselves in a land bathed in the light of a new dawn, still recovering from the ravages of war. Inspired by Lerathae's guidance, and now bearing the goddess' blessings, they would come to be known as the Falha'drin, or Shadow Elves, and the Vaela'drin, or Moon Elves, representing the waxing and waning phases of the moon and the duality of light and darkness.

As the first elves to set foot on the Prime Material Plane, but still carrying with them the memory of their homeland. the elves embraced their new home and began to integrate with the other races of Eldareth, creating bonds of friendship, and sharing their knowledge and traditions while learning from their new neighbors in turn. Drawing upon their unique perspectives, they contributed to the rebuilding efforts of the world and sought to forge new alliances and build a brighter future for themselves and their descendants.

With their lives forever changed by Lerathae's intervention, the Shadow and Moon Elves became fervent worshippers of the goddess who had led them to safety. Grateful for her compassion and wisdom, they revered Lerathae as their patron deity, offering prayers and tributes in her honor and seeking her guidance in times of need.

In their new home, the elves built temples and shrines dedicated to Lerathae, places of serene beauty where they could commune with their goddess and pay homage to her divine presence. Under her watchful eye, they flourished, and through their unwavering faith and dedication, the elves forged a deep and enduring bond with their goddess, becoming her chosen champions in the mortal realm.
